Photography Services
If you need photographs of your artwork for show or art school applications, postcards, your website, show catalogs or giclee printing, - you've come to the right place. Give me a call and let me know what you need and I'll work up a quote for you.
If you live locally you can bring your work to my new air-conditioned studio in Melrose, Massachusetts, just a couple of mile north of Boston and a five minute walk from the Oak Grove MBTA train station.
If you live elsewhere in the country you can ship your work to me and I'll photograph what you send one item at a time and then I'll e-mail you copies of the digital files I've taken so you can evaluate each shot. If something needs changed, let me know, I'll make the changes and send additional shots till you've got exactly what you want. When I'm all done I'll make up a CD that has folders containing the various file sizes and types you need for your applications, printing, postacards, websites and emailing.
I've been photographing fine art and crafts for more than twenty years and have a fully-equipped studio that includes a new proofing area for critical color matching.and large monitors that are extremely color accurate. My Mac can handle anything I throw at it, and has programs and color management tools required for the highest level output possible.
I love to photograph art and without exception have enjoyed working with the hundreds of artists who have brought or sent their work to the studio. I don't exagerate when I say that art is one of the most challenging subjects to photograph and I think that's why I love to do this kind of work. I get to photograph beautiful, unique, unusual, strange and sometimes wacky art; and work the people who created these artworks. I find this fascinatiing. And I love the challenge. My kids tell me I'm a solutioner. I love to solve problems and come up with visual solutions that help artists succeed.
Give me a call, I'd love to help you with your next project. Thanks!
